Elektra/Asylum New Releases for September 1975
.
This is an 8-page booklet/order-form listing all available
Elektra and Asylum product including upcoming releases.
Pages 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8 are shown here. Prisoner In
Disguise was the first Linda Ronstadt album released in
the combined Elektra/Asylum number series (7E-1000 series).
1973's Don't Cry Now was released soon
after Asylum moved from the Atlantic group to the Elektra
group, and was released with the old style
numbering series unique to Asylum. The new 7E-1000 series
was now used for both labels, but
Nonesuch, Dandelion, and other Corp.II labels maintained
their unique numbering systems.
.
In addition to Prisoner In Disguise and Don't
Cry Now, this catalog also lists one Linda Ronstadt re-issue 45,
"Love Has No Pride" (Elektra Spun Gold 45073). This single
differs from the original 45 released two years
earlier (Asylum 11026) in that the b-side of the original
was "I Can Almost See It" and the re-issue version
has "Silver Threads And Golden Needles" on the flip side.
Page 8 is included below to show the pricing code.
Soon after this time, determining MSLP was made more
complex as prices began being set on an item by item
basis. Things were so simple in the old days :)
Also worth noting: Mono, Stereo, and Quad recordings
were all in print at this time (but not for every title).
