...Gram Parsons, John Hammond, Linda Ronstadt and several members of her
Swampwater band, John Beland, Gib Guilbeau and Thad Maxwell joined
The Byrds on stage for a jam session. The audio clip below includes the stage
announcements calling the guests from the audience, and Linda's song,
"Break My Mind". There are several differing accounts about this event by
people that participated in it...but it appears that Skip didn't know the song,
so that's why Thad was playing bass. One of the voices announcing the guests
was the microphone-shy Clarence.

This show, while not up to standards by The Byrds, has been in unofficial circulation
for many years. With the release of the Deep Six boot even more people are now
familiar with the performance. But in spite of the chaos on stage, no rehearsal, sound
issues and certain other influences, Clarence White delivers yet another stellar performance.
